Our Mission

This is spacesociety. We believe that in the upcoming years, the space industry will thrive and that one can capitalize on this trend. The main reason for this prediction is the exponential advance in technology, which will open more and more possibilities for the space market.

The Falcon 9 is the perfect example of this; advances in technology made something happen which no one thought was possible. With the reusable Falcon 9, the cost of delivering payloads to orbit has gotten way cheaper. With the development of the Starship, the costs for payloads will decrease by a factor of 10.

​

With the decreasing cost of payloads, new opportunities will open in the space market. Larger satellites can be launched, projects like asteroid mining and big space stations become plausible, general space exploration becomes much more affordable, and also steps to the colonization of Mars can be made.

Our future is split into 3 phases.

Phase 1 Information

The first phase will revolve around information. We will post updates regarding the space industry so that one has an overview of the present state of the industry. Also, we will provide informational posts about space engineering and how certain systems work, for example, propulsion systems. This phase will prepare you for the upcoming rise of the space industry and will build a foundation so that you can also capitalize on it.

Phase 2 Prototyping

The second phase will center around prototyping. This means prototyping an actual engineering product. This will probably be an electrically driven propulsion system. In this stage, we will document the prototyping and testing on video and upload them to YouTube.

Phase 3 Maximizing

The third phase is called maximizing. Here the space product will be offered to the market. With the profits, diving into different R&D directions will be possible. This step then consists largely out of building and expanding.

Keep in mind that this is based on the assumption that there will be a boom in the space market and therefore many of the steps will be made possible through the expanding of the industry.
